@ joannyc: No problem! I don’t believe any of us can tell another traveler what to do; we can just offer the advice we feel comfortable offering – and honest expressions of concern are, IMO, appropriate. And I don’t think anyone has the “only” answer about to how to offer advice, either. In fact, I think one of the strengths of Fodor’s forums is that people are able to offer whatever advice we think appropriate, letting the OP sort things through – as this OP seems willing to do. While I prefer to think that we all offer our time and input freely and as a kindness, I am well aware that some people feel compelled to impose their arbitrary standards of what is or is not helpful on others, or to judge others who disagree. I find that unfortunate. I don’t mind when people disagree with advice I offer. I do mind when people are attacked or judged for offering their advice. JMO….
