Globe Theatre

Which is the best section to sit in at the Globe Theatre? Has anyone seen the produciton of Twelfth Night at the Globe?

Wendy, I saw the production at the Globe and I thought it was great. If you go to the Globe Theatre web site (http://www.shakespeares-globe.org/home.htm), you can see the seating plan and it shows you what your perspective will be. Generally, the higher priced seats offer better visibility. I would think the center section of the middle or lower tier would be best. I'd also recommend getting a seat in the back row of whichever tier you're on so you have a wall to lean back on. For extra comfort, you can also rent a cushion.

Is the tour of the Globe theatre worthwhile? I won't have time for a performance/and I think the performances ended in Sept. anyway.

Yes, the tour is definitely worthwhile. What's more, they have a very extensive museum attached as well, that we wished we had allowed more time for!
