Glasgow to Dumfries by rail?
I am lost on the Eurail website. I may be in Glasgow in Sept. I have a place/person I want to visit outside of Dumfries...actually closer to Bargrennan. I see that there is a train from Glasgow to Stranrear. How can I find out where the stops are and the approximate times?

Have done a little bit more checking for you.
It looks like you need to get to Girvan (using the rail service in the last message)and from there a local bus (services 359 or 415) will take you to Bargrennan. The bus timetable is at:-

I've never even HEARD of Bargrennan. But I was really commenting on te fact that you'd looke up not only the rail but the bus timetable.
And that there are dozens of others here who do the same everyday for no reason other than they want to help someone out...

Yes, true! And thank you VERY much. I always try to go out of my way to help folks here, too, so what goes around comes around! Have you heard of the Marrbury Smokehouse and famous smoked salmon? That is their business- they really live in the "boonies". After perusing those train and bus schedules, I think I should have her meet me in Glasgow and we'll support the economy! Thanks for all of your help!
