Hi Motorgirl38,
The Christmas Fair is moving back to its usual location of St Enochs square this year (and presumably next year too). I don't remember the name of the hog roast stall/truck, but the market wasn't huge so it would probably be pretty easy to track down if they opt to trade there again. I do remember that there were a lot of different meats on offer - not just pork - and you could choose to have them with or without stuffing, crackling etc in baps or baguettes. It was really really tasty and (dare I say it) better than the hog roast at my brother's wedding (probably/hopefully he will never read this).
Hi Janis,
I loved the Kelvingrove but really didn't do it justice due to my aching feet - it was our very last port of call pre-boozing and grubbing that evening, after a full day of walking around the city centre. I would recommend the Ben Nevis bar to you on Finnieston St for next time as it has a huge range of single malts (and I think you are a bit of a whisky drinker?) We must have just missed each other in Edinburgh as Tommy and I were there mid August for the Fringe and I think you and the other GTG-ers were there at the end of the month?
