Glasgow: breakfast spots around Central Station?

My sister and I are staying two nights at the Radisson Blu, Glasgow. Rather than the hotel's breakfast, any place you'd recommend for a breakfast source? Thanks. On a budget level, probably more £ or ££ than £££/££££.

You could try the Willow Tearooms on nearby Buchanan St. It (and the original one on Sauchiehall St, which is further away) are famous in Glasgow for the Charles Rennie MacIntosh connections.

Thanks, Gordon_R, I'll show my sister the Tea Rooms link. We will scout around once we arrive, and rethink the hotel for breakfast, if necessary. It's perhaps not just a £ rating to consider. My idea of breakfast is 7am :-)

Oh OK (that's early for b/fast on holiday :)) Unfortunately I don't think the Willow Tearooms opens up until about 9am. Are you from the US? As you may know it's not as commonplace to go out for b/fast here in the UK. There will be places just not perhaps a huge selection outside the hotel.

Thinking back, I've always eaten at the b&b or hotel, so not walking around to notice how much wasn't open. Guess I should have gotten out more :-) not sit around waiting for breakfast to start. I really am a morning bird, even on holiday. Thanks again, Gordon_R!

There are a lot of decent early places for breakfast in Glasgow city centre. My current favourite is Where The Monkey Sleeps. Open from 7am.

Thank you for the suggestion, uruabam. It's always a learning process, I'm finding .. I thought of price point when originally asking, then timing needed to be a consideration, now the days .. our two mornings in Glasgow are Sat/Sun and The Monkey Sleeps is open M-F.

The thread is bound to help someone, some time, though. Also, if I get a return chance to Glasgow, it could be handy.

Thanks, again!
