Glasgow and Stirling accommodations

Can you recommend Hotel or B&B in Glasgow with a good location for sightseeing.
Also, any suggestions on Inns or B&B's in Stirling.

We can help if you tell us your budget -- and how many people . . .

WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST FOR MID PRICE RANGE ACCOMMODATIONS IN GLASGOW AND STIRLING?

Ok, you answered the question by providing no information. Since you seem to enjoy shouting, let's try this again:

WHAT IS MID PRICE RANGE? DEFINE IN DOLLARS or POUNDS.

And HOW MANY PEOPLE?

I am sorry I did not mean to have all cap when I wrote my message. I was in a rush and didn't notice my message was in all capitals. I know that means shouting on an email. Sorry again.

I will be traveling in August. How much would a good mid price B&B or hotel cost in Stirling or Glasgow? I know in Edinburgh it is much more expensive during this time period.

We would like a pleasant stay in these two areas. We like rooms that are a good size not to cozy. If it is in a B&B it should have a friendly host, have a yummy breakfast, be clean and a short walking distance from sights. We will not have a car. I would like the price range to be around $125.00 to $175.00.

Thanks

You should be able to get a room within that price range in the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow. Very central located and totally refurbished within the last three years.

>> How much would a good mid price B&B or hotel cost in Stirling or Glasgow?<<

Maybe I'm being thick here -- but why do you care what is 'mid-priced'? Isn't im more important to find something in your budget, whether or not it is some nebulous 'mid-priced (mid priced for whom anyway?)

Lecturing font off ;)

Now - re your budget? The £ is down a fair bit right now (but who knows where it will be next August). So right now $125 = a little over £80. £75-£85 is about minimum for nice-ish B&Bs though you can find cheaper ones in some really rural villages.

$175 = about £115 which is a bit above 'mid range'. So yes, you'll be able to find some decent rooms for that. Re room size - that is more an issue in hotels. B&Bs won't have a standard size anywhere. They are rooms in private homes - so some have very large rooms, some have small rooms, some have both . . . and it really doesn't affect rooms rates much. What you pay is based mostly on amenities and if it is in a very desirable tourist area - not on room size so much. If room size is very important to you, you'll have to contact each B&B you are considering and asking the room's dimensions (unless it is spelled out on their website)
