Glacier 3000' is it good?
 

Still planning the summer trip, hence would like to hear from u about the comments of Glacier 3000.

My wife and I travel with my 7 years old son. None of us got Ski experience! So would like to have a try and from the net, Glacier 3000 said it provides snow skii even in hot summer.

Is it worth to visit there in August time?

And after Swiss I would like to go to Italy, Piemonte and fly back home at Milan airport. How is the transportation from Gkacier 3000 to the nearest Italy city where I can pick he car rental for the rest of the trip in Italy?

Never skied!! Then "NO". Our kids skied the glacier at Zermatt in June, but they are very good skiers. Of course not.
You need to get your trip under control!! LOL

I see. Just thought there will be some training course for beginners.

This is annual family trip, each time, I would like to some unique experience. Last year is the lavender field at Province. As we come from Hong Kong, we only have indoor ice skii facilities. Learn to ski in Swiss definitely will be v memorable experience for my son!

I can confirm that learning to ski on a glacier is NOT a good idea. It's like skiing over pebbles or a sheet of ice rather than snow.

Further, one needs about one week to make any progress on skies -- normally the first day is just learning to stand up and maybe move forward for a few feet. There are lots and lots of spills and falls.

It's just not a good idea to try to learn to ski in one day, and not a good idea to learn to ski on a glacier.

The panorama from Glacier 3000 to Mont Blanc and all the more than 13000 ft high peaks of Valais is excellent, however (if the weather is fine).
