Be sure to give enough details, like price you want to pay and when you will be going; whether you want to be able to cook; if you want to have amenities of hotel etc.
|
yes yes sorry ..i should have mentioned those..hmm wanna spend around 120 euros a day ..goin in may end…ya cooking a bit would b good …housekeeping would b nice

gites don't normally come with housekeeping for less than a week without extra cost. Also, gites may only be for 2; may have to look at a proper house for 4. Some gites don't take kids; all things to consider.

We've rented 46 different gites in France - one near Amboise & one near Saumur. However, these Loire gites were huge, with 4-5 bedrooms - perhaps too large and too costly for you. There are, of course, 2 bedroom gites available - the two I mentioned are just the ones we thought were best for us. Renting gites is a tad difficult if you don't read or speak French. Lots of other "overhead" too. For most of the gites we've rented, you'll have to pay extra for housecleaning (or do it yourself) - and all the gites we've rented are from Sat to Sat. Given this, and perhaps reading "between the lines" on this and other posts from you - I would go with a hotel.

any clue hows la grand maison
|
Not sure when you are going.. but there are little hotels in the area.. some with pools.. with kids, if going in summer , I would try and find a pool for cooling off after touring all day.

I think you can easily find a place for that rate or cheaper, but it is true most require a week's rental that I've seen, and strictly arrival on a Saturday, also. If your 6 days don't start on a Saturday, that may be difficult. Of course you should be able to leave early if you pay for a week (and I've seen some in that area for only 350 euro a week for that many people).
I wouldn't do it if you are wanting hotel services like housekeeping. You're only there 6 days, why would you need that? Most gites won't have pools. What do you mean "hows la grand maison?" first, it would be grande maison if spelled correctly, but not sure what you are asking about. IF you mean La Grande Maison B&B, that might be a good choice for you so you wouldn't have to figure out the gite thing on your own. I am not familiar with it, though. |
