ginger ale in london

ok.... do not kill me for this .......

we are renting a flat in london and we want to buy liquor for our trip......travel buddy mixes his with ginger ale ....

do they sell ginger ale in london?

It may have changed, but a number of years ago the English ginger ale was sweeter than the American variety. Quite good, mind you, just noticeably sweeter.

Any supermarket will stock 3 or 4 different brands. Schweppes is still the market leader but the supermarket own brands are cheaper and often better tasting. Waitrose brand is excellent. The best of all though IMHO is the Fever Tree brand.

There's also various alcoholic & non-alcoholic ginger beers. But you need to look for the mixer version
