Getting to Rhodes

I am considering spending a few days in Rhodes at the end of our trip to Turkey. Is there a direct flight from Cappadocia to Rhodes? (I assume flying would involve flights from Kayseri to Istanbul to Rhodes.) Alternatively, I could fly to the coast and take a ferry from Marmasi to Rhodes. Or I could spend one or two days driving from Cappadocia to Marmasi and sight-seeing along the way.

Any thoughts?

Are there any flights at all between anywhere in Greece and Turkey ? Given that they are sworn enemies, I'd have thought you'd have to fly via a 3rd country.

This was a thread I have been laughing the most......... Caroline; I am wondering which century you are living in by such answer.
Turkey and Greece is not at all enemies. There are a lot of social and economic improvements between the two countries. There are 2 Greek banks in Turkey and one Turkish is about to open in Athens. If the two are enemies how could they permit each other on a most hot point "money" to control in their country?

There are two daily flights from Istanbul by Turkish Airlines and Olympic and one charter company flies from ýstanbul to Mykonos (where Turks are also holidaying if you were wondering)

There are daily ferries to/from Marmaris and fethiye to Rhodos.
Bodrum-Kos, Kusadasi/Samos, Kas/Meis, Cesme/Chios, Ayvalik/Mitillini are also connected areas by daily ferries........
Just google what you are wondering it will show you do not need to find a 3rd country to visit Greece from Turkey or otherway around.

Dear Mike: From Cappadocia to Izmir there are direct flights 3 days in a week. This is closet you can get to Marmaris, or via Istanbul to Dalaman will be closer option for Marmaris. A 50 min ferry journey will take you to the hearth of Rhodos.

I travel to Greece extensively and so far I managed to get back home in one piece )))

Greece is a nice countryt and Greeks are also as friendly as Turkish people. We get along much better than some citizens of 3rd countries think!

Happy travelling

Thank you, propertravel. I'll check out the flights to Izmir from Cappadocia. Maybe I'll take the ferry from Bodrum instead of Marmasi if that works better.
