We love to walk and shop and visit pubs - and would like to know what East Molesey has to offer in addition to the Bell Inn (thanks to "curiousx" we would definitely put the Bell on our list). What is East Molesey like?

To Marge - well apart from the Bell and the Church just down the same little road, there isn't much to sightseeing in East Molesey..it's a fairly wealthy bedroom community for London with the usual array of greengrocer, butcher, baker, Tesco (or Safeway, I forget which) and some nice specialty stores (cakes, for example). There's some pleasant river strolls, and I believe the East Molesey website could tell you more. But if you are looking for a villagey village - no. Check out Goring on Thames/Pangbourne in Oxfordshire, or almost anywhere in the Cotswolds (as I'm sure you know already !

Hi, as a resident of East Molesey, I would have to say its a typical suburban commuter town. The Bell pub is cute and very old, but not worth a special trip. The best shops are those over the main road opposite the train station, Galleria is a fab reasonably priced gift shop - check it out.

We made our trip to Hampton Court and the Bell Pub near the end of December. Hampton Court was well worth the trip, and we had a marvelous lunch at the Bell Pub. My daughter loved the mushy peas, it was novel to pick-out all the dogs under the tables, we enjoyed the fine beers, and a few locals struck-up conversations. A highly enjoyable experience!
