getting to dubrovnik
anyone ever gone from prague to dubrovnik off season? i am only finding $1000 flights with 2 stops, ranging from 6 1/2 hours - 13 hours with the layovers. Train seems to not exist. Anyone? Thank you.

I flew from Prague to Sarajevo, then took the train to Mostar, and the bus to Dubrovnik (of course, this was over several days, but it was an easy way to get to Dubrovnik).

There is no train service to Dubrovnik, and flights are very expensive. You might want to look for flights on Sky Europe to see if you can find a cheaper and better connection, but you might have to go through Bratislava. This is really your only hope of getting a good deal. Otherwise, take a train to Bratislava and fly on Sky Europe from there.

I actually believe that Sky Europe's service to Dubrovnik is seasonal, so that may not help. You may need to explore an unusual option, such as the one thit_cho suggests. It's certainly easy to get to Vienna from Prague, so perhaps look for options from Vienna.
I suspect it's easier to get to Dubrovnik from London than from Prague. |
That is correct-Sky Europe IS seasonal--we took the last Sky Europe flight to Dubrovnik from Budapest on September22.
