Put in "United Kingdom" as the language instead of France or the US. Better yet - use this site.

Thanks, StuDudley.

I tried the site you suggested, selected Paris-Gare-de-Lyon. The Results page says "Your P-G-de-L to Dijon Trip" at the top, but the departure point/time is ... Paris-Bercy! What the heck is up with that?

Haven't tried the United Kingdom ploy yet....

OK, StuDudley! Tried your UK approach, and I think we have a winner! It's too soon to book yet, but I set up an email alert. (At least it acknowledged that Gare de Lyon exists, and isn't just another Platform 9-3/4.)

I assume I can print tickets out....

Fingers crossed that I don't mess this up, and thanks again for your prompt response and good advice!

(Is it just me, or is this process just a little less user-friendly than it could be?)

The Capetainetrain site is much more intuitive, and has fewer "quirks" than the sncf site. I suspect that the TGV schedules have not been loaded into their system for the dates you are traveling. If you input a more current date, you will see all the trains leaving from Gare de Lyon and Bercy on the left half of the page, and the least expensive train on the right half - this case it was a Bercy train.

TGVs are bookable 3 months before departure. So if you are traveling on Aug 8 and you live on the US east coast, you can book as soon as 18:15 on May 7, which is 00:15 May 8 in France.
