I used Priceline and got the Sheraton Paris Airport CDG for $118 per night.

We're going this summer, so I can't tell anything about the hotel, but I was thrilled to win this hotel at that price.

A little over a year ago my sister got the CDG-Sheraton (Roissy) for $110 on Priceline.

I met them at the hotel b/4 we all took the RER to Paris. It is literally one escalator away from the RER platform. Very nice hotel, modern and clean rooms.

"Clean rooms." Are there that many 4-star hotels in France that don't have clean rooms?

Be sure to reconfirm that Priceline reservation directly with the hotel.

Thanks so much for all the info!

I just checked to see which terminal we'll be arriving/departing from and it appears to be Terminal 3. The Ibis Hotel is apparently within walking distance to Terminal 3 and the RER. The rate is 109E which seems quite reasonable.

Yes, it is walking distance to Terminal 3 -- about 300 meters.

Linda431 - is there a particular reason to confirm the Priceline reservation with the hotel? I sometimes do that, but not always...

Sunday May 25 7 or 7:30 a.m. from Montparnasse to CDG -- maybe 30-40 min -- can't remember--possibly $50 -- less than going in to Paris the day we arrived May 8.

We asked our desk to book a taxi the night before. She said no need. Next morning, the guy flipped when I told him that. He called; taxi showed in 10. We had at least a good 2.5 hr at airport -- worked out fine.

Kiddo, it costs more than the taxi, but usually apartment agencies have private car service available to drive you to and from the airport.

This past Sunday's N.Y. Times had an article about this happening with some frequency to Travelocity bookings. Sometimes the booking site doesn't get the reservations over to the hotel and travellers end up being stranded. A quick phone call should sort it out or a fax if they have one.

I always say you should reconfirm if you have a third-party booking, just because the hotel sometimes claims that it didn't receive the communication. I've not had any problems personally, though, with dozens of third-party bookings including many Priceline ones.

I may need to make a new post - however anyone reading this may be able to give advice, we have a 7:30am flight on Monday morning from Luxhembourg in the 6th. I was thinking of using the Paris Shuttle, what time of morning are we looking at for trip to terminal 2B.

Jelane,
As an FYI, the RER from Luxembourg going to CDG starts running at 5:22AM. Trip time on a Monday morning is 35 mins (all info from RATP site).
