Getting to CDG Airport from Le Marais
 

A friend will be staying in Le Marais (11 rue Quincampoix) in late September and needs to get to CDG airport for an 11 am international departure on Friday, September 30. Any suggestions would be appreciated - ideally, something efficient and not overly complicated.

Yes, taxi was something we considered. Would anyone be able to estimate the cost of the fare?

RE Taxi - would anyone be able to estimate the travelling time (early Friday morning) and the fare? Is Uber a reliable option in Paris?

Taxi fares are set to and from the airport now. 55 euros from the Marais, I believe. Have her call G7 the night before to arrange (it will cost a few euros to book the cab, too). She needs to be at the airport at 8 am for an international flight at 11:00.

The taxi fare from the Right Bank to CDG is 50€ plus any dispatch fee if you call for pickup. The dispatch fee is either 4€ for immediate pickup or 7€ to schedule a pickup.

Anyone with a transatlantic flight should be at the airport 3 hours before scheduled departure. I suggest 2 hours in advance for any other destination.

The taxi people will know what time pick up should be for specified time of arrival at the airport.

Your friend is staying just a 5 min walk to Chatelet Le Halles where she can catch the RER B train to the airport.

I agree to take a taxi for least complicated. We take the RER all the time but it's not the least complicated. Also Chatlet Les Halles is one of the more complicated stations and I say this as someone who has used it fairly often. When we were there last December there was still construction there which doesn't help.

If you're travelling to the airport before 7:30 AM, it probably won't take more than 40 minutes to get there. After that, I'd allow 60 to 90 minutes, to be safe.

Make sure to be on the sidewalk waiting for your taxi.
If you are using TaxisG7, the dispatcher will send an SMS with the color and make of the taxi which will pick you up.

Would depend if it Is CDG1 or 2.
If 2, RER is indeed a good option. Would take 40 mns from les halles to CDG2 plus short walk to T2E.
If 1,would advise taxi : No direct bus in neighbourhood and need to take automated train from RER CDG1 to terminal

I've taken RER when I had a flight in T1, that automatic train CDGVAL is very nice and isn't difficult at all. It only takes a few minutes, also. It's very obvious where you get it when you get off the RER.

I would never advise a taxi solely for that reason.

Departure is from CDG 2A at 11 am on a Friday. We have some time to get organized. On a previous trip my friend used the Air France shuttle from Montparnasse which doesn't seem that far from the Chatlet subway station on line 4. Would anyone recommend this option? Thank you all for your kind suggestions.

I agree with Christina -- no problem at alland only adds a small amount of time.

RER would be easier for her than getting the shuttle. If she's in Le Marais for a few days before her flight, she can easily walk over to the train station to check out the situation and ask questions and to pre-check how much time it is going to take her to get to the train.
If it seems to confusing, then taxi it is. But you said "nothing overly complicated" and I don't think it is, at all.

We almost always use the RER. Quincampoix is very near Chatelet which has he RER station. We rented an apartment there on one of our visits. Check the schedule on Ratp and make sure you get on an express to CDG and it should be very easy. The only other stop would be Gare du Nord, I'm almost certain, before you get to CDG.

Why not just get a taxi and then you don't have to "be sure" of anything including any STAIRS.
