getting to althorp from train station

How do you get to Althorp once you arrive in Northampton? Their website tell you to check the times to coordinate but silverlink does not offer a "package" for train+coach to Althorp. Help! Thanks!

Tana - Here's the link. You'd need to check with the Bus operator - First Northampton - to confirm it's still valid for this year:

Hope this helps ...

Yes, Steve it does help to see the connecting times, thank you. I Still don't know how to actually purchase the combo train + coach as it does not offer a link to purchase them. Should I wait till the day I go to Althorp and buy a ticket combo at the train station in London? Is it easy to do? My entry time to Althorp is 10 AM... Thanks again!

From my experience, it would be very unlikely that you would be able to buy a combined ticket like that from the web-site, because Silverlink uses a third party for its e-comm service. You might have better luck phoning their ticket sales (if they have one). Buying at the station in the morning would be ok, but London Euston is a big busy terminal and tube interconnection point, so give yourself lots of time. If you are in London for a few days before your visit to Althorp, I would suggest going to the station and getting your ticket a day or two in advance. There is a large ticket office with numerous windows; simply get in the queue.

Wonderful! So could I actually purchase the coach part of my trip at London Euston or would I then have to purchase that once I got to Northampton? Waiting till I get to Northampton does make me a bit nervous... Sorry all these qustions. I've never been to the UK and will be traveling to Althorp on my own. Many thanks

Tana, in 2002 you could buy a combined train bus ticket that was 50p cheaper than buying them separately. I imagine a similar arrangement will be established this year. You should remember that the fact that you are excited and planning in advance for your special trip, Silverlink is not, and will get around to setting this up and announcing it on their web site in their own sweet time.

Good point Ron! Thank you! I will scour the silverlink web site weekly in anticipation for these tickets!
