Getting the GSM Unlocked on a Cell Phone

I have a cell phone that I bought in Spain I'm wondering if there is anywhere in the US that would be able to unlock the GSM so I can use other SIM cards in the phone as I'm traveling.

Google the make and model with the word "unlock," such as unlock siemens s46

Thanks now if only I could remember the pin number to access my phone...I hope I have it written down somewhere.

If you get lucky, the unlocking procedure might not even need a PIN.

The phone I have is a Siemens A60, and the amount it costs for some of these unlocking procedures is about what i could pay on ebay for an unlocked phone. Should I plead defeat and buy a new phone? Or, should I continue to try and look until I find the code. Thanks

I'd keep looking. It took me an hour to find the procedure for an A57.

You would have to open it, locate a testing point and cut a tiny wire. Plus change the firmware. Easy, if you're a little bit talented, it seems. But I wouldn't know since I'm a law obiding citizen and get unlocked phones for free from the phone company :-)

Well I think I'll take it and get it unlocked in Spain, or I'll just buy a new one off of ebay. Oh well it was worth a try. Cutting wires I'd probably ruin the whole phone so it is not worth it.
