Getting out of Rome near Easter? Please help!

My husband and I and three kids are dealing with an American Airlines flight cancellation and frantically trying to rebook using miles. Our trip is for next Spring.

They have given us an option of flying into Rome (our original, cancelled flight was into Milan) on the same day. We would not be staying in Rome, but immediately getting on a train and out of there to head toward Bosnia. My worry is landing in Rome two days before Easter, when it's a mad house, and not being able to get a train reservation. Can anyone comment on if it would be hard to get OUT of Rome during Holy Week, or is it just getting IN to Rome that would be problematic?

We were in Rome during Holy Week in 2001 and it was very difficult for us to get a train res to get there...I keep remembering that and feeling gun shy.

Thank you for any advice you can give.
