I am going to get married in Rome next July, does anyone have any suggestions of where we got celebrate our wedding reception for approx. 35 people. Also does anyone know of any suitable venues for guests following a wedding reception. Thanks

I love rome but can't help you in anyway except by topping you so your post does not fall to the 3rd page.

My children and I will stop by and throw rice

I would suggest finding a good hotel with a good restaurant, there is the Atlante Star hotel which has roof gardens where to organize wedding receptions with a great view on St Peter's dome and Castel Sant'angelo. Check this out www.atlantehotels.com
If you want something away from the city the same Atlante owns the so called Parco dell'Airone Estate.
Also, very suggestive should be to find a villa on Appia Antica. I know there are some beautiful villas there where you can organize a wedding reception, they are pretty large villas, but as long as you tell them how many you are and what you want, they might be able to help you. If I find some contact I will get back to you.

Hi Mons,
I found some links for you to have a look at, maybe they can be useful to you.

This one below is a restaurant but it has a good location near the monument of Cecilia Metella:

This one below is a beautiful villa outside Rome, where one of my friends has her wedding reception back in 1997. The website is in italian only but there is an email address to contact them .

An aquaintance of mine did this last year and it turned out wonderful. They booked a church who in turn reccommended an opera signer for the wedding. Then they found a nice hotel who reccommended a local restaurant. They were worried as there were some small children attending. The resrtaurant was run by a lovely older couple who did not have children and treated them like grandparents. They had the place to themselves and had dinner again the next day. For the evenings (There were there for 3 days) they asked a cafe to reserve some outdoor seating each night and were able to bring the children and have wine and a party with the family. She said everyone helped her and were so nice when they found out they were getting married.
