Getting from Ubeda (Andalusia Spain) to Seville
I will be in Ubeda in late June and wondered what the best way to get to Seville might be as I can't find any direct train links (even from Linearas) or a bus.
Anybody got any suggestions ? ...the reason for heading to Seville is I actually need to get to Faro so if I'm missing an obvious way to get to Faro directly form Ubeda then please shout ! thanks in advance :-) Fiona |
From Ubeda you should have no difficulty getting to Jaen or Granada by bus. Then it will be easy to get to Seville.

There is one train a day that goes from Linares-Baeza to Sevilla and takes 2:45 hours. You could take a taxi from Ubeda to the Linares-Baeza station, which is what I did back in 2003. There's likely a local bus but I'm not sure of the specifics.
Alsa shows 4 buses a day from Ubeda to Sevilla (but one is at 3 a.m. and the other 6 a.m.). By bus it's 4.5 hours. It's till better to go by bus direct versus trying to get to Granada and transferring (5.5 to 6 hours not including transfer time). Same with Jaen - Ubeda to Jaen by bus is around an hour. From there you could go the train station and take a train (about 3 hours). Or transfer by bus (another 3.45-5 hours). So it's probably easiest to just take the train from Linares or a bus directly from Ubeda to Sevilla when you factor in travel and transfer time. |
Thanks so much to both for your for your help... really appreciate it :-)
