Getting From Term 2 at FRA to Lufthansa Shuttle Pick Up Point

We will be arriving on AA #70 from DFW to FRA around 7:20 AM (if on time) and need to catch the Lufthansa shuttle to Heidelberg. The shuttle pick up point is in T1 (Arrivals which I assume is at ground level) and AA flights now land in T2. I know we then have to pick up our bags and go through Immigration.

I'm trying to decide if I should book the 9 AM shuttle or just play it safe and book the one at 10 AM.

Any thoughts?

If you are arriving in Terminal 2, then you would pick your bags up there too. Then you just take the Sky Train to Terminal 1, and go down just one level to the Meeting Point. There is only one of these Meeting Points in each terminal and this is where the shuttle drivers all wait. It shouldn't take much more than 30-45 min. to go through passport control, pick up your luggage and then emerge into the airport after landing. It should only take about 10 min. to get to the Meeting Point then in terminal 1. The Sky train runs every 2 min. and takes about 2 min.

The Meeting Point in Terminal 1, is by Arrival hall B-1, the Marche' Cafe' and the luggage storage. It has a big blue cube hanging over it.

The 09:00 shuttle should be fine if your flight has a history of arriving on time or early. You have over an hour and half after landing.

Sorry for disturbing

"go down just one level to the Meeting Point"

One level down from the sky train is departure level!

"There is only one of these Meeting Points in each terminal"

Wrong, there is one in T1B departure and one in T1B in the arrival area. T1B is the one at arrival gate B1 close to Marché Cafe.

"and this is where the shuttle drivers all wait."

Nope. Not for the public shuttles. For example, a ryanair shuttle bus driver will not pick up anyone there, or a taxi driver, or the bus driver of a Lufthansa shuttle bus.

Just use the exit at the Marché Cafe and turn right. At this area are usualy the bus stops for the Lufthansa shuttle busses. For example to Strasburg and Heidelberg.

Sorry Mainhattengirl, but we do not want to let bettyk get lost in the departure area.

I would play it safe and book the 10am shuttle.

OK, Pit, that makes sense. The Lufthansa Shuttle website says Arrivals level, Hall B, Exit B4-5.

So, I go down 2 levels once I arrive in Term 1 on the Sky Train, go out the exit by Mache Cafe and turn right. Is the Lufthansa shuttle bus identified in a way that would make it easy to spot or is there an actual bus stop sign?

Really appreciate the help!
