getting from santorini to kos then to turkey

Hi. Can someone please advise me! is it possible to get from Santorini to Kos by direct ferry in Mid September. If it involves changing ferries or an overnight stop somewhere, that is fine.

Yes, you can with no overnight stop or change. Go to the Blue Star Ferry website for schedules. They make the trip 3 days/week.

If you're getting the ferry from Kos to Turkey, then Bodrum is only an hour away, less by catamaran.

Onward travel from Bodrum is v.easy. The Bodrum bus station (Otogar) is in the middle of town. Modern inter-city buses go all over the place, and the roads are v.good.

If you want to fly to Istanbul then the closest airport is Milas-Bodrum, 30 minutes from Bodrum Otogar. There's a Havas shuttle bus. Here's the website...

If you want to loiter a while in the Bodrum area, then the Bodrum Peninsula has great scenery, lots of little quiet resorts, and great food.

Hey, thanks for the quick responses.
We are planning to base ourselves around Bodrum or Marmaris for about 10 -12 days and then head to Istanbul for 6 days. Food and the beaches are my hubby's passion so sounds like a great idea. We will check out a few of the usual tourist things( like Pamukkale and Ephesus) but otherwise like to just cruise around and go where the day leads us. Is Cirali worth a visit.?Also thought about Cappadocia too, but maybe not enough time.!

I you stay in Bodrum try to take a mini-bus to the charming little seaside village of Gumusluk.
