Getting from LHR to Old Street Tube Station?
Hello, old chaps. I will landing at LHR and want to take the Tube from the airport to the Ace Hotel Shoreditch, which is situated in Shoreditch High Street. Nearest tube stop is Old Street.
What would be the best route?
Cheers, thanks a lot.

The magic word in this case is "southbound". For any given trip, all you need to memorise is the name of the line and the general direction (north, south, east or west) on the map. Station signage follows the same convention, and colour-codes the lines as on the map.
Your main problem is likely to be finding the right exit up to the surface at Old Street. See

Thank you for your help, guv. I don't need to memorise anything because I have a proper colour-coded Tube map.
I am only really good at getting the tube to Turnpike Lane Station from South Kensington.
I got really good at taking the tube in Rome even with my absolutely horrific Italian.
Cheers.
