Getting from Istanbul to Israel

Hi,

Can someone tell me which airlines (including local/low fare carriers, if any) fly from Istanbul to Tel Aviv? Schedules and other useful information will be sincerely appreciated! Thanks!

Hi Eugene - The best way is to check is to go to the Tel Avi airport website.
http://www.iaa.gov.il/Rashat/en-US/Airports/BenGurion/

It lists:
http://www.thy.com/en-INT

For budget operators your best source is:
www.whichbudget.co

Hope this helps ...

Steve

Turkish Airlines has daily nonstop service. Everybody else has less convenient connections somewhere, and are more expensive.

Check www.elal.co.il for ElAl and www.thy.com fro Turkish Airlines.

You can try also Arkia (it is cheaper than ElAl), sorry but I have not time now to find its site.

Turkish Air definitely flies between the two cities (they often quote among the cheapest fares from London via I'bul).

As for actual budget airliens, try Israir. They should have their own website.

Thanks everyone for your replies. It appears that Turkish Airlines is the only one with direct flights (and their prices certainly reflect the fact).

I actually e-mailed El Al and their response was that they are no longer offering direct flights. Does it possibly depend on the time of the year?

Turkish Air worked well for us - round-trip -Istanbul/Tel Aviv.
(The Istanbul security to TA was the toughest we've ever been through.)
