getting from CDG airport to Paris via taxi or uber
 

I will be arriving in paris in a few weeks with a few suitcases because I plan to stay for while. I was thinking it would be easier to take a taxi or uber to my apartment. I have heard that there is now a set fee for taxi rides form CCG to Paris. Is this true? is uber cheaper? any help would be appreciated. Thx.

Yes, it is true there are fixed prices for a taxi into Paris. It is $55 to the Left Bank and $50 to the Right Bank from CDG.

I don't do Uber but doubt if it would be cheaper, but Uber is never allowed to queue at any airport I've ever been to if they are even allowed to operate there (and I don't know about CDG), they have to wait off-site which means obviously they are going to take longer as you have to wait for them to show up. You appear to like Uber so would know about that.

Strangely engouh we don't accept $ in Paris.
