Getting from 2E to 2F gate 27 at CDG in 1 hour 50 minutes

I'm wondering if this connection is doable? We arrive from Los Angeles into CDG and have 1 hour 50 minutes to get a connection going on to Athens. We arrive in 2E and depart from 2F gate 27.

Is this enough time? Any tips that might help?

Also, we wanted to carry our bags on for this trip but would this complicate trying to make our connection? Would it be better to check them through.....just wanted to avoid that since we have two plane changes before final destination.

Do those bags spin? How long is it going to take you to actually exit the aircraft. If you are waaaaaay in the rear.....

Is this a continuous voyage ticketed by one airline/partner?

We are in First class so exiting the aircraft first. Yes, the bags spin.

If you are in FC you won't have ANY problems. They will have agents to assist you and you will have expedited immigration.

At the end of July we did this in reverse, from 2F to 2E, Hall K, with just hand bags, our luggage checked straight through, all in one ticket, and had no problems. We landed at 2F at 11:30 am and departed 2E at 1:10 pm.

>>> Is this enough time?
It is enough, probably well over 30 min to spare ... if everything goes as scheduled.
Delay: You can get some idea of how chronic the delay by looking at a site like https://flightaware.com for immediate last 10 days of arrival performance date. If your arrival is way in the future, the current performance date will be nearly irrelevant. Obviously, the only performance that counts is what happens on your day of trip. Even when the plane lands on time, it does not mean you can get to the gate immediately. Last year, our Delta plane was forced to wait almost 30 min on tarmac for a gate to become available.

>>> Any tips that might help?
It helps to study the layout of the airport. I don't think you have looked at the airport map. Terminal 2E you have stated is a vast area consisting of three physically different buildings. Just look at the map: Getting from 2E to 2F gate 27 at CDG in 1 hour 50 minutes-plan_masse_cdg.jpeg You can be arriving in any of the three halls, K, L, or M.
How you get from 2E, K,L, M to 2F are clearly marked ... however, it would feel like you are going through endless mazes.

>>> Also, we wanted to carry our bags on for this trip but would this complicate trying to make our connection?
If your connection is tight, your chance of traveling with your luggage is better if you don't check provided you know how to clear through the security check quickly -- that is not to be asked to step aside for a manual wand or even more intrusive session or having to open the luggage for visual inspections. Also in case your first plane is hopelessly late, the gate agents have more option to change your next flight leaving shortly if they don't have to bother with your checked luggage. This has happened to us, incidentally on a trip to Athens via CDG. It was good that we did not check luggage as she could put us on a flight leaving very soon but not possible with checked luggage.

>>> depart from 2F gate 27.
The gate number changes until the day of departure. What you see on boarding pass you receive in LAX would be mostly likely different from this number. When you arrive at CDG, the departure gate info shown on the digital departure board would be again different from what you see on your boarding pass issued at LAX.

Here is a guide, with photos, for your terminal trudge:

https://easycdg.com/passenger-inform...o-terminal-2f/

Even with carry-on items, you can expect a security check before reaching your second aircraft.

Factors that are beyond prediction: Weather conditions across the Atlantic can interfere with your landing time. And that time is not when you enter Terminal 2; it's when you are on the ground. At CdG the time spent taxiing to the terminal can be fairly lengthy. I want at least two hours to do anything at CdG.
