Getting Around Italian Lakes without a Car

Thank's to everyone who has helped me so far. I honestly feel like this is the best resource I have found. Anyway
1. I'm assuming the questions I ask will help others.
2. When I get back from my Honeymoon I will report back to everyone what my thoughts are on the questions I have asked.
Anyway, If we get a driver from Milan to Bellagio, will we have trouble getting around the lake region to Maggiore, Lugano, or is the public transportation quick and easy enough so that we really don't need a car. I've read enough about the roads around the lakes to scare me from driving in this area if possible.

Thanks

Michael

Michael, No need to be afraid to drive. You will miss most of the fun
by taking public transport in this area.
However, You can bus from Mennagio to
Lugano easy enough. From there, a local
boat tour may take you to Stresa.
