Getting Around in England

I was planning to take a trip to southern England and especially to Cornwall/Devon in the late spring '07 but worried that I won't be able to get to many of the picturesque villages by bus. I might be a little too nervous to drive "on the other side of the road" - also I think that it's pretty pricey to rent a car there. I'd rather just bus but don't want to miss anything...has anyone tried to maneuver this area by bus?

there is a dense bus service in this area between larger cities...but places like Clovelly and Tintagel are virtually impossible to reach by coach - most villages, however are but not all.

Hire a driver and car!

It is not impossible to visit most Cornwall and Devon (including Clovelly)by public transports, as I have done several times. For details, please check: www.carfreedaysout.com. The free map of bus and train routes sent out by them is most convenient for planning the visit.
