Getting around Gozo on bicycles....

as one member on this forum suggests: the island is quite hilly so it is not recommended to travel by bicycle.... please advise, we are a city and parks bikers keeping ourselves fit... Thank you.

It really depends on your fitness level. You could also probably rent scooters. I stayed in Xlendi and walked clear across the island to Ramla Bay. We walked to Victoria daily and picked up buses there.

Depends on how fit you are Mamut! And the bike you intend to ride. It should definitely be a mountain bike, preferably with shocks ... forget the city bikes in Gozo.

we have booked two mountain bikes and will try.... and combine a bus and walk... or hitch-hike :-D maybe?

Bus and walk would be nice. Bikes don't ride on buses, if you were considering that. As for hitch-hike, don't even think of it.
