Get from Positano to Ravello?
 

Hi all,<BR>What are your recommendations to go from Positano to Ravello? We won't have a car, so we're looking at mass transit. I have a sense that the bus is the way to go, so if anyone knows the bus schedule, pricing that would be awesome!<BR>How about a reputable car company that will do a day trip, but that sounds expensive, right?<BR>Thanks.

Kiki, the SITA bus is very cheap and about hourly from Positano to Amalfi then Amalfi to Ravello. And the ride is pretty impressive. Only problem is getting up the hill to where the bus stops! There is a Positano bus that goes part of the way to the road.

We took a boat from Positano to Amalfi, then short bus ride to Ravello. Nice views of scenery the whole trip.

The solution suggested by Sue is the best, maybe.<BR>You have ship from Positano to Amalfi at these departure times in the morning: 10.00 , 11.30; time distance is twentyfive minutes, a shorter time than bus. From Amalfi to Ravello bus. To come back departure time from harbour of Amalfi in the afternoon is 16.10. Price one way is 4 euro.<BR>Have a nice trip.

Probably stupid but....<BR><BR>How far a walk is it from Amalfi to Ravello? I guess I should also ask how far up?<BR>

There is a walk path between Ravello and Amalfi and between Ravello and Minori. Top down more or less ninety minutes.<BR>Down top: bus !

The bus is fine, but I use www.flaviogioia.com. They will take you up to Ravello, wait for you, and take you back to Positano or anywhere else you want to go. I was there in 2000 and it was about $40/hr. They are very nice folks and will be driving us around in about 4 weeks!
