Germany to France

I'm flying into Frankfurt, then planning to spend 10 days in France before returning to Germany to meet my boyfriend. I'm told the easiest method of transport is the trains. I have found that Eurail passes for 10 days are about $700. I found a website "www.eurorailways.com" selling what appears to be the same thing for $

Check your itinerary on www.railsaver.com - - and be sure to mark the box "only if it saves me money". Unless you are a traveling salesman, moving from town to town every day, you may find that a rail pass (of any kind) is not a bargain purchase. Ordinary (point-to-point) tickets are cheaper than most people realize (though not always in Germany).

Best wishes,

Rex

If you are old enough to do so, look into renting a car. You can find a much better rate for a 10 day rental than $700.00

Go to www.ricksteves.com and click on the Railpass link at the top of the homepage. Several pages of helpful information. You can also download and print a railpass guide in pdf.

You can get a better price on passes than what you've listed. See this page for information about passes just for France or a France-Germany pass: www.ricksteves.com/rail/france.cfm.
