Germany - Restaurant Service Charge

Hi All,

Am I correct that service is included in the price?

What is German for "service compris"?

Thanks

This morning.

I couldn't find my post.

I searched the title.

I clicked on my name.

No post.

Now it's appeared.

Thanks, all.

I always thought service was included in the price and you need not tip except a few lose coins. But on the other thread hsv says you should tip 5-10% because, like in the U.S., wait people in Germany depend on tips for their salary as otherwise they are low paid, etc. I never heard that this was so but i respect hsv's knowledge of this matter.
