Germany - Paris - Switzerland

Hi all,

I am arriving at Frankfurt and will be traveling to Nuremberg, Munich, Paris, Switzerland and then back to Frankfurt.

I was looking for a train pass for these Germany-France-Switzerland but France does not seem to offer a euro-rail pass with these other countries.

Any suggestions about how to travel for less money?

How many people, how many locations, and how many days in each location will help you make a decision on the method of transportation.

It may be cheaper to fly from Munich to Paris than to take the train. It will certainly take less time. Same for Paris-Switzerland. It all depends on how many people, how many locations, etc as the person above has noted.

Thank you. We are 2 people. Locations are Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Munich, Paris, Switzerland (Lucerne, Basel) and back to Frankfurt to take the international flight back home

I would travel to Switzerland from Munich, fly to Paris, and then fly back to Frankfurt. Take the train the rest of the time.

If the itinerary above is the way you want to do it, check out Munich-Paris, Paris-Switzerland, Switzerland-Frankfurt flights on Air Berlin or Lufthansa. Since each flight would be an international one, you get 23 kilos allowance for your checked bags. One way tickets may be cheaper than rail, it means less transit time (I don't think any of the flights will be much over an hour).

Thank you. I will check the flights as you suggested
