germany in november

We are looking for recommendations of places to stay in Munich. Also, has any one used an air BB or verbo here? Recommendations for places to eat?

We usually stay in Munich Ost, as it's convenient to get to Marienplatz as well as to the airport - we've stayed at the Residence Inn, Marriott and Motel One in that area.

It's been eons since we last stayed in the thick of things (noise concerns), but I just might do that for a possible visit in December.

Do you like Indian food? If so, I can recommend Goa. I know a few good Italian places too. We tend to visit Munich at the end of our Germany trips and by then I'm pretty tired of German fare:)

Hi germanytraveler1,

Because of the housing shortage in Munich, short-term apartment rentals to tourists is illegal -- so please be wary of the airbnb and vrbo offerings. The apartment you find could be found to be illegal and removed abruptly from the market, leaving you with no where to stay.

I have stayed at the Blauer Bock hotel and liked it a lot. My favorite restaurant is the Zum Alten Markt in the Viktuallienmarkt, near the hotel.

Have fun as you plan!
