Germany compounding pharmacy

Do compounding pharmacies exist in Germany?

Apologies for this dumb question but non-native speaker here - what is a compounding pharmacy?

OP is looking for pharmacies that prepare medication individually "on location".
I tried to explain in OP's other thread, that each pharmacy in Germany is qualified and ready to do this. But that it is a matter of what kind of drugs are needed to prepare the medication.
As OP mentioned that he/she lost a prescription from Canada for the medication in question, it will be probable that the components also require a prescription in Germany.
If that is the case, OP has to see a doctor or hospital in Germany first to get the compulsory prescription (and pay for the doctor and the drug out of own pocket).

I would not expect to walk into a pharmacy and find they have the drugs you need available. If this is something so special that it needs to be compounded I would definitely contact any pharmacy in advance - to be sure they have the agents needed.

And you will require a prescription. Again - I wold start with the out patient clinic of a tertiary hospital for the Rx and also a reco on what pharmacy would have the necessary agents to do the compounding. Also - I hope you have the generic names of the medications, since trade names can vary in different countries. If you don;t have this info you need to call your MD's office and get them.

My son was almost killed twice by errors by compounding pharmcies. I would never go that route again.
