hsv, talking about Pilsner, the nicest one I had recently was (believe it or not) Effes... Turkish! Pilsners which i've tried in other occasions were too flat - no body.
|
I know Efes. Would be my beer of choice when in Turkey. However, it is not up to par with a Jever, though :-)
|
Nothing really measures up to Jever. But if I am in a different kind of mood, and am in that unchartered territory also known as Northern Germany, then I can also really go for a Duchstein. Much better than the mineral water in any case.

bella,
absolutely. A cool Duckstein on a cold winter evening for some reason exudes some warmth. It's peculiar to me, but I prefer it in winters rather than during summer. |
...somehow I can taste duckstein right this minute while I am having a fantasy of ruhrei, pfefferlinge and bratkartoffel while overlooking the freighters on the elbe... (sigh)

My friend tried Volvic and was satisfied with it both from a taste and feeling well after drinking it perspective.
Thanks everyone for both the help and the entertaining replies. |
