Germany-Austria itinerary

Me and my wife are going to Berlin next september 21 to participate at the Berlin-marathon on the 25. Then we will rent a car and our plan is:
26: Bamberg
27,28,29: Berchtesgaden
30,1: Salzkammergut (St Gilgen?)
2,3: Zell Am See
4: Mayrhofen
5,6: Oberammergau
7: Romantic Road (?)
8: Fly Frankfurt-Brazil
After leaving Berlin, we do not have any hotel reservation. We think that at this time of the year, it will not be a problem. Are we right? We are planning to do lots of hiking. Any comments will be very welcome. Thank you.

If I were a car-traveler, it would sound perfect to me. St. Gilgen is a yes. You can visit Halstatt and Salzburg easily from there. If you have your room reservations, perhaps you could visit Salzburg on your way from Berchtesgaden on the 30th and arrive in St'G late in the afternoon. You've selected some beautiful places. J.
