By the way i think the Ausserfernbahn was a really cute ride, Reutte-Garmisch - it skirts the Zugspitze just before Garmisch. A nice excursion from Fussen and a novel way to get to Oberammergau and Linderhof - take bus one way, train the other - all scenic the whole way.
