I had my husband look at the callbackworld site, and he remembered that he signed up for it last year but never could get it to work from France. His advice is not to depend on it, but perhaps it will be more reliable in Germany. Hope so!

To keep everybody informed. Enlinea and callbackworld with riiing (united-mobile) are dead for days now. Callback doesn't work anymore, I couldn't check callthru, but I suppose it's the same. Seems the game's over.

Not working at all any more!

This has been happening from time to time...my 800 number to united-mobile AKA riiing is indeed down but in the past it has come back.

However there is and has been a lot of specualtion that calls to FL (Liechtenstein) mobiles have been blocked because of the lower rates or failure to pay termination fees...we'll just have to see but the free receiving of calls is still worthwhile at least to me as I can forward via AT&T ld which at this moment is still only 11¢/minute.

It's almost a week now.

Have you guys poken to customer service at either enlinea or cbw? I e mailed them a complaint that my enlinea 800 number is not working and giving me a fast busy signal since the call is routed by the same internet provider as is the cbw/enlinea call backs that checks out something is down. Interestingly enough, another of my internet providers is not going through to FL....the interesting question we have been discussing on other forums is whether this is deliberate sabotage on the part of FL because of the lower rates, whether it is a question of terminaton fees (termination fees are the fees a call provider pays to the comapny receiving a call one of the reasons receiving calls is free on European and other mobiles)...

I'll let you know as soon as I get an answer from enlinea customer service, they are usually very good at resolving issues such as this that is if they are resolvable.

Thanks xyz123, T-com had blocked calls to FL mobiles (but only!! united-mob. numbers) for almost a year until they reached an agreement. They claimed they blocked them because of "internet dialers using these numbers". (They claimed it to avoid problems with te authorities. I believe, the real reasons were different.)

T-com (=t-mobile fixed network) is working now, but far to expensive to be useful.

Here is the response I got from enlinea customer service:

Thank you for your email. The technicians are working on your account right
now with high priority. Please keep testing and advise of any change, we'll
keep you posted as well.

Sort of a form response but I wonder if any others have called customer service with this info regarding unavailability of enlinea service to FL phones.

I will keep you informed.

At 1927 Eastern time (GMT -5) on 10/12/05 I was able to complete an enlinea call via its 800 number into my United-Mobile sim.....does not mean system is totally up but if the one call went through perhaps enlinea (which probably means also cbw) is functioning once again. Also on prepaidgsm.net somebody reported they were able to complete at least one call via pin2dest on cbw...hopeful signs.

It's working again :-) but only on D2-Vodafone. Seems T-Mobile has finally blocked all incoming calls. Sh*t!

Hi
We bought a phone card at an internet cafe that one of the staff at the hotel told us she uses herself. The cost was 5 eu for 6oo minutes, a 10 eu card had more minutes. Our cost was actually a bit higher but we were able to call the US almost everyday so my wife could check on her Mother. Our cingular phone was supposed to operate in germany but it was not turned on for Germany as it was supposed to be. My wife called from the hotels and some did not charge a fee.
We stayed at the Movenpick Berlin, where the staff was most helpful as well as the Radison SAS in Dresden and the staff was most helpful in assisting my wife also.
