Geothermal pools

have been researching many geothermal pools. Found a very rustic one in Flurid. After looking back to our itinerary, am excited our hotel is nearby. ) Hoping to go there after our day long optional tour the South Shore. Of course, don't know when we will get back? They are opened 10-10. https://secretlagoon.is/

Also ran into this fact on their website???😳

Q & A's

Do you have to shower before entering the pool without a swimsuit?

YES YES It is rude if you do not.

You have to shower and have to be butt naked to properly cleanse yourself.

any feedback on this, as are the Icelanders very strict . hopefully they have shower stalls????? Then I wouldn't mind

Yes, this is standard in Iceland. The Secret Lagoon does not have private showers, but in the same general area is Laugarvatn Fontana. It is very close to the same price and they do have one somewhat private shower as there is a curtain, but that is it.

Yes it is rude not to wash all over before you go in the communal pool. In what society is this not true?

Shower stalls? Not any that I ever encountered in Iceland. If you're not comfortable with nudity and washing all over before going into a thermal pool, don't go to Iceland and bathe in public.

There are a couple private stalls at Krauma, Blue Lagoon and Myvatn. There might be at others as well, but I know these have them as well a the one I mentioned above.
