Genoa - What to do there?

My family (3 teenagers) has one "free" day in Genoa at end of June. What would be good to see/do there? Thanks!

My husband took my son and nephew to the aquarium in Genoa and they all loved it. They also strolled around the old section of town and said it is beautiful.

Great article about Genoa in what i think is the most recent "Conde Nast Traveler" in case you are interested in print material.

Hi, check this recent article on Genoa in the Sunday "What's doing" series in NYT:

http://travel2.nytimes.com/mem/trave...Europe%2fItaly

It's one of the two cultural European capitals for 2004 (Lille being the other). There should be special events. If you'd rather head away from Genoa, parts of the Italian Riviera should be quite close as well. But I've not been to Genoa or the Italian Riviera.

Thanks for the answers. Will definitely check out the magazine and NYT article. We are going to Chiavari on the Italian Riviera the following day so only have the day to check out Genoa. Any suggestions for lunch and dinner would be helpful too.
Thanks again.
