We want to drive from Santa Margherita Ligure to Nice, have any of you done this trip and if so your thoughts?

Lots of tunnels, easy drive, fast drivers.

Are you staying in France? If so, beware of drop charges on the car.

Thxs for the imput, yes Bob we will be dropping the car in Nice. We have used Kemwel the last 3 years and will keep a heads up on the drop charge. Cafegoddess sounds like a fun drive. Any thoughts on Hotels? May stay in Cannes or does Nice make more sense for touring the area?

Easy drive, esp. if you can manage to do it on a Sunday when most
of the commercial/truck drivers are off.
