Genoa airport to Camogli? Taxi/car service?
I will be heading this way in a week or so. Considering taking an airport taxi to our hotel but would like some idea of the price for such a trip. Would this be negotiated in advance or would the taxi use a meter? How long is the drive..half hour or so?
I know that there is a bus/train combo but since we are 3 persons, we will probably spring for private transport...

Hi Eks - I think it might be nearer an hour.
I've never done it so I'm guessing, but I would think the price would be comparable to Naples-Sorrento i.e. € 80-100 - give or take.
You should definitely fix a price before boarding.

Now that <i have arrived in beautiful Camogli, a few hours ago, I will post an answer in case anyone else is thinking of taking a taxi from the Genoa airport.
There are many cabs outside the airport. They use meters within the city but for a trip to Camogli or SML, etc, you negotiate the fare beforehand. We ended up sharing a large taxi with two others, so the price came to 15 Euro each or 75 euro total. For 2 or 3 persons in a regular, smaller taxi, the first price, with no negotiation, was 60 euro. The taxi ran with the meter turned on and the meter totalled almost 90 euro, so we did well....
