Geneva - Trip Ideas?

Hi All,

I am all set to travel to Europe with my sister in April 2nd week and our 1st destination is Paris. While we have most of our itenary set for Paris and France and to brussels too, clueless about where to go and what to do in Geneva. We have our train tickets booked and will be there on the 21-22nd of April and leaving back on the 23rd to Paris! I have read about Mont Blac, Laussanne, Lucerne etc, but not sure if any or all of this are feasible during our short budget trip - Any recommendations please?

My fav great hotel on the lake at good prices

unlike Geneva very expensive.

www.gstaad.ch very nice short train ride nearby

www.chillon.ch well worth a visit while there.

Have fun,

You could look at budget hotels at www.rooms.ch and you don't need to STAY in Geneva since even Chillon is an easy train ride.

I would for get about doing Luzern from there (I just did it from Lausanne this past year and the train ride each way is a good 3 hours with changes.

i gotta catch a train back on the 23rd April from Gare Cornavin, pretty early in the morning, hence was thinking that it might be safe and easy to stay in Geneva. Nevertheless thanks for the link will check it.

I have gone through Various websites, and thinking if it is worth buying the Half Fare Card and Day Pass? Considering i will be in Geneva for 2 days only and the likelihood of me coming back to Swiss in the next 1 year is very bleak!
