Geneva to Venice

I'm looking to leave Geneva at night and arrive in Venice the following morning. Does anyone know if there is a nonstop night train that runs between the two cities? Any recommendations or suggestions for the easiest way to travel from Geneva to Venice by train would be greatly appreciated! I'm trying to see several cities in a relatively short period of time. THANKS!

There is a night train that leaves Geneva at 21:36 and arrives in Bologna at 05:19. Change trains and leave Bologna at 06:02 and arrive in Venice at 08:12.

I've taken a non-stop night train between Geneva (Vevey/Montreux actually) and Venice. I booked a private cabin. I did not have to transfer until just outside Venice for the last little stretch.

TimS is right, the GVA - VCE direct night train has been discontinued since about a year now. Such a pity. I used to take it to get to Venice. It was a GVA - Venice and Roma and the train split at Milano, one part to Roma and another to Venice. Now it goes only to Romna. I really don't want to change the train at Bologna at such early hour.

You can check train connections yourself on the following site:

For Venice, put Venice Santa Lucia.

There is Flybaboo (new name is Baboo, I believe) that flies between Geneva and Venice but can be pretty expensive.

That's for the update, Kappa. That is ashame. What good's an overnight train if you have to transfer in the middle of the night?
