Gelato schools in Italy

Can anyone recommend or have an experience at a Gelato making class/school in Italy or Sicily? Ideally, I'd like to go someplace and learn for 3 or 4 days. All thoughts appreciated!

Will you go to a city just for a gelato class? Otherwise, it would be helpful to know where you're going in Italy.

Try google. I know there are classes in Florence.

One of several found with a simple search:

3 or 4 DAYS?? It takes about ten minutes to learn to make gelato (and you don't need to go to Italy to do it), but if you must, just google.

First, thanks everyone for your replies. I travel alone and usually frequent Northern Italy, and now since I have family in Stuttgart, future trips more than likely will continue to discover the North. However, I long to see Southern Italy, (Naples and Sicily) so if the right opportunity presented itself, I'm in! My Italian is getting better - I self study, and take courses in the fall and winter.

StCirq, I understand gelato making is not as labor intensive as pasta making, and yes, I am aware there are learning centers in the US. And I do know who to use google - and while it may have come across as a "blonde" question,(which I am)your reply really doesn't answer the question. Thanks, anyways.

Mami Camilla in Sorrento sounds like what you want.

I know a couple of people who went to Gelato University in Bolonga and came back to NA and open Gelato shops.

Both of them make excellent gelato with great favour profiles. Which is not as easy as some may think.

A few years ago I took a 3 week immersion class in gelato eating. Final exam was tough, but somebody had to do it.

I can give you recommendations if that is of interest...

Again, thanks everyone. I think when I retire, I'll try a few weeks at the University in Bologna... then open a shop - well, if I graduate! Grazie!
