Geiranger--What to do?

We have the opportunity to take an overland tour, to Djupvatn Lake, Stryn , Nordfjord and Hornindal Lake.

That is going to cost $130/person as opposed to $28 to Mt. Daisnibba.

Does anyone know if it will be worth the cost?

I'm going to assume this is a shore excursion from a cruise. You'll see more places on the longer excursion [my husband and father took that one.] My father and I did the Dalsnibba trip and just lapped up the view, then we wandered around the little town of Geiranger including a small country church and, again, just lapped up the views.

Depends on what you like:)

We are also taking a daylong overland tour at Flam. I was just thinking doing both would be repetitive. Is Geiranger wonderful for just walking around?
(You are right---we will be on a cruise)

Geiranger is just a small fjord town -- you can see the whole town from the dock! [or at least you could in 1979] It's a low key enjoyment.
