Gavrinis - how to get there
 

I'm travelling with a friend to Brittany this summer, and we would really like to visit the megalithic cairn at Gavrinis, but we're having problems finding information about how to get there, and we were hoping someone here might be able to help. We're going to stay in Vannes. Is it possible to get to Larmor-Baden by bus, or do you need a car? And how does it work with the boat to Gavrinis, at what times does it leave and do you have to book places on it? Many thanks in advance!

There are buses to Larmor Baden from Auray which can be reached by bus or train from Vannes. The timetable is on
www.auray-voyages.com/horaires.php but should be checked carefully - buses run on certain days of the week and some only in school terms or school holidays.
Boats from Vannes go around the Gulf but don't land on Gavrinis (www.navix.fr and www.compagniedesiles.com).
