Gault-Millau Guide
Well, sorry to be so uninformed, but I am wondering if this guide is only in French or is it also in English? I thought it would be wonderful to "dream" about eating in France and wanted to obtain this guide hoping for a trip in the future. When I went to the website it was only in French. Thanks to the well-informed for any help.

As far as I know it is only in French; they used to publish in English but no longer. There is a recent thread on this and other French guides.

Thanks! I have found the recent postings on this. Wish I could read French!

One of the old English-language guides that I have is now going for about 80 British pounds--glad I held onto all of the books!

mimpam,
It's available now only in French. I have a copy of the Gayot guide, but it's no longer. But in the US one can purchase the '05 Gault Millau in NYC at the Librairie de France in Rockefeller Center or order it on the web. www.frencheuropean.com |
Thanks for all the info. Maribel I am having trouble logging on to the webstie you gave but will keep trying. Is this '05 guide in English?

mimipam.,
Just google "Librairie de France", New York. That may help. And no, the Gault Millau is in French, but if you have a reading knowledge of French, even rudimentary as is mine, you can figure it out. |
Thanks, Maribel. I did finally get on the website. I cannot read French, but my son may be able to help me out with it. He lived in Marseille for about a year. Says he reads French better than he can speak it. Thanks again.
