Gatwick to London

I may have posted this twice. If I did please forgive. I can travel from Gatwick to Green Park by 2 minibuses (10 people) or go by train and be met and Victoria Station and transported to hotel. The train roundtrip is app. $100 USD more. Is it worth it since we have 10 people. Thanks.

I have no personal experience of this as I take the train to/from Kings Cross when I fly from Gatwick, however from what I've read the journey by road from Gatwick to central London is long, slow and not that pleasant!
For just $10 more per person the train option sounds better.

Depending on the time of day, the train trip may be slightly quicker, but you then have to get a taxi to the hotel and that means queuing at Victoria or stuggling on the Underground.. After a long haul flight I would prefer to be met in the arrival hall and travel by minibus to the door of the hotel.

If you all have Southern DaySave passes, the ten of you can travel from Gatwick to London for £60.

Oh - meant to add "Depending on the time of day, the train trip may be slightly quicker" "Slightly" is not the word. A train and car or taxi (or even train and tube) will be at least an hour faster than taking the mini buses in from LGW. And depending on the time of day could be even more.

$100 divided among the 10 of you would be $10 each. Only you can decide if 60 to 90 extra minutes sitting in south London traffic is worthh $10 savings. If the budget is really tight maybe opt for the mini buses -- but for me - I wouldn't drive in from LGW for love nor money . . . .
